Recycling

Selinsgrove Recycles! We provide curbside collection for household glass (clear, blue/green, and brown) in bottle or jar form only, and aluminum beverage cans. We provide a Drop-Off Center for household glass (clear, blue/green and brown) in bottle or jar form only, aluminum beverage cans, steel/tin cans, plastics (No. 1's and 2's) in bottle form, newspapers, magazines, hi-grade office paper, and corrugated cardboard. There is a seperate drop-off location for garden residue, brush and leaves. Selinsgrove Borough Office collects only the compact fluorescent light bulbs. Selinsgrove also hosts a cleanup day each spring for other materials.

Rental Unit Occupancy Regulations

It is the purpose and the policy of the Borough Council of the Borough of Selinsgrove, in order to protect and promote the public health, safety and welfare of its residents, to establish rights and obligations of Owners and occupants relating to the rental of certain dwelling units in the Borough of Selinsgrove to encourage Owners and occupants to maintain and improve the quality of rental housing within the community. It is also the policy of the Borough that Owner(s), Owner’s representative and occupants share responsibilities to obey the various codes adopted to protect and promote public health, safety and welfare. As means to those ends, this Chapter provides for a system of inspections, issuance and renewal of occupancy licenses and sets penalties for violations. This Chapter shall be liberally construed and applied to promote its purposes and policies.
